Grant Writer Intern

Internship: 4-12 Months (Flexible)

Do you love research, writing, and crafting compelling stories that lead to real?world impact? Join our team as a Grant Writer Intern and help secure funding that supports entrepreneurship, economic development, and small? and mid?sized businesses across Canada.

This role is ideal for a 3rd or 4th year student who wants hands?on experience in grant writing, research, and business development within a mission?driven non?profit organization.

This opportunity is available to current Ontario?based university students.

What You'll Do

• Research and track grant and funding opportunities
• Draft grant proposals, letters of intent, and applications
• Align program outcomes with funder priorities and criteria
• Support budgets, logic models, and impact reporting
• Conduct research on economic development and SMB trends
• Gather data, success stories, and documentation for proposals
• Maintain organized records of applications and outcomes

What You Bring

• 3rd or 4th year student in Communications, Business, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline management
• Ability to synthesize complex information clearly
• Interest in non?profit work, entrepreneurship, and community development

Nice to Have

• Research or policy analysis experience
• Familiarity with impact metrics or reporting
